extended X-ray absorption fine structure abbr., EXAFS (rus. протяженная тонкая структура рентгеновского спектра поглощения abbr., ПТСРП) — area of X-ray absorption spectrum located above the absorption edge and extending in the range of 30 eV to 2000 eV. Often EXAFS also denotes measurement and processing of the spectra of an extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS spectroscopy).
