particle of the nanopowder otherwise nanopowder particle (rus. частица нанопорошка) — an individual constituent element of granular materials, consisting of nano-objects or being one, that can be detected or distinguished with an instrument.

Description

Nanopowder particles may be both nanoparticles and nanostructured particles, which are strong agglomerates of nanocrystallites of an arbitrary shape (see the morphology of nanostructures) and a size exceeding 100 nm. The mechanical and, more importantly, strength properties of such particles are usually no worse than such properties of a compact material with the same composition.

Nanopowder particles, when combined with each other, as aggregates, may have poorer mechanical properties than those of compact substances.
