nanohardness (rus. нанотвердость) — hardness of nanoscale objects or individual nanoscale elements comprising a nanocomposite or nanostructured material.

Description

Nanohardness is measured by nanoindentation, whereby the depth of the indentation does not exceed 200 nm. Nanohardness of a material may be much different from the same material's microhardness.
